Cookies and similar storage
Hope Abilitation Medical Center uses cookies, browser local storage and session storage on www.hope-amc.com. Cookies can be sent with browser requests; local and session storage are read by website scripts. These technologies support language preferences, remembering your cookie choices, carrying checklist answers to an inquiry and understanding referral sources. Analytics and advertising cookies are used only if you allow them; until you choose, Google Analytics and Google Ads may run without cookies, as described below. Our Privacy Policy explains the associated personal information and recipients.
Storage used by the website
The website's own storage below is needed for the site to work as you request, so it is used whatever cookie choices you make.
- Cookie choices —
hope_amc_consent: a cookie recording whether you allowed analytics and advertising, so the website can apply your choice on each page before any analytics or advertising tags run. It lasts 180 days, after which we ask again. - Language preference —
PARAGLIDE_LOCALE: a cookie supported by the site's language system to remember the selected language. When set, its configured maximum age is 400 days; browser limits may shorten this. - Referral source —
hope-lead-attribution: local storage containing the first qualifying referral's campaign source, medium and name, referring hostname, landing path, visit time and the type of advertising click parameter present. This record stores the parameter type, not its unique click value. It is read for up to 90 days and sent with inquiries for source reporting. It stays in your browser, holds no identifier for you or your device, is not passed by the website to analytics or advertising services and only reaches our team if you submit an inquiry, so it is kept whatever cookie choices you make. After that it is ignored or replaced on a later qualifying visit; the browser does not automatically delete the stored entry at 90 days. - Milestone checklist —
hope-milestone-checklistandhope-milestone-checklist-send: session storage carrying the chosen age and answers to the inquiry form and remembering if you untick the option to send them. It normally lasts for the tab's session and is cleared after a successful JavaScript-enabled inquiry submission when a checklist was offered. Unticking the option prevents sending the answers but does not immediately erase the locally saved checklist. - Tag Manager preview —
hope_amc_gtm_preview: a four-hour cookie used when tracking preview is enabled on a Cloudflare preview site. It is a testing control, not a visitor consent preference on the main website.
Deleting local storage does not delete information already submitted to our team. The website's IP-derived form rate-limit counters are server-side security records, not browser cookies.
Analytics and advertising technologies
The production website uses Google Tag Manager containers that configure Google Analytics, Google Ads conversion tracking, Meta Pixel, Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity and ClickGUARD. These services may use cookies, local storage, pixels and similar technologies to measure visits and conversions, understand interactions, assess advertising and detect invalid advertising traffic. Hotjar and Clarity can create heatmaps and session replays. Google and Meta tools may also support personalized advertising and audience building.
Information can include identifiers, IP addresses, browser and device details, page URLs, referring sites, campaign and advertising click parameters, clicks, scrolling and submission events. Cookies and their lifetimes vary with provider settings, the tags triggered and browser restrictions; the website's 90-day referral period is not a retention limit for these services.
Your cookie choices
When you first visit, a cookie banner asks whether to allow:
- Analytics: measuring visits and how pages are used, so we can improve the website.
- Advertising: measuring the results of our adverts, reaching families who may need our services and detecting invalid advertising clicks.
You can accept all, reject all non-essential cookies or choose each category; rejecting is as easy as accepting. The website tells Google services, through Google Consent Mode, that analytics storage, advertising storage, advertising user data and ad personalization are not allowed unless you choose otherwise.
Until you choose, Google Tag Manager loads with only Google Analytics and Google Ads able to run, and they run without cookies or advertising identifiers. They still send Google limited information about the visit, such as the page address, the time and your browser, together with your IP address, which Google uses to estimate visits and advertising results across all visitors. Google remarketing, Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity, Meta Pixel and ClickGUARD do not run until you choose.
If you reject, nothing from Google Tag Manager loads from then on. If you allow analytics only, Google Analytics can use cookies, Google Ads continues without cookies and Google remarketing does not run. If you allow advertising only, Google advertising services can use cookies. Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity, Meta Pixel and ClickGUARD load only when you allow both analytics and advertising. The page usually reloads after you choose so that the right services run; if you have already started typing on the page, your choice takes full effect from the next page you open. Without JavaScript the banner cannot be shown, so these technologies do not load unless you previously allowed both.
Submitting or declining to submit an inquiry does not change your cookie choices. The privacy acknowledgment in the inquiry form is not a cookie preference control.
Embedded and external services
Google Maps, YouTube media and the Zoho Recruit careers portal connect to their providers when their content loads and may use their own storage. YouTube thumbnail requests can occur before video playback. Privacy-enhanced YouTube embeds do not prevent all information sharing. Social, sharing and WhatsApp links connect to external platforms when followed. Instagram images hosted by this website do not themselves load an Instagram embed.
For further information and provider privacy controls, see Google, Meta, Hotjar, Microsoft, ClickGUARD, Zoho and Cloudflare.
Your controls
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time by selecting Cookie Settings at the bottom of any page. When you withdraw a permission, the page reloads so that services already running stop, and the website deletes the analytics and advertising cookies it can reach on this domain. Cookies held by providers on their own domains must be cleared in your browser.
You can delete cookies and site data, block third-party cookies, restrict browser storage, enable tracking protection or block third-party scripts through your browser or privacy tools. Cookie blocking alone does not stop every network request or all tracking. Provider account settings can offer additional advertising controls.
Clearing or blocking storage can reset your language preference, remove a saved checklist or prevent referral information from accompanying an inquiry. You can also untick the checklist-sharing option on the inquiry form. Clearing website data does not delete existing email or Airtable records; contact us to request help with those records.
