Our Doctor Services at Home
General Pediatric Consultations
Medical consultations for children with suitable, non-emergency health concerns, including:
- Fever without emergency warning signs
- Common colds, nasal congestion, and uncomplicated upper respiratory symptoms
- Acute cough in clinically stable children
- Sore throat and suspected uncomplicated throat infections
- Ear pain and suspected uncomplicated ear infections
- Uncomplicated rashes and minor skin concerns
The suitability of a home consultation depends on your child’s symptoms, clinical stability, and the need for further investigations or hospital-based care.
Chronic Condition Follow-Up
Ongoing medical follow-up for children with established health conditions who are clinically stable and suitable for home-based review. Depending on the child’s needs, the consultation may include:
- Reviewing current symptoms and changes in health status
- Reviewing medications and the existing treatment plan
- Assessing ongoing care needs and identifying concerns requiring further investigation
- Coordinating follow-up with the child’s treating physician or relevant specialists
Newborn and Infant Follow-Up
Support for eligible newborns and infants through:
- General health and clinical assessment
- Feeding and hydration review
- Growth monitoring and review of measurements
- Parent and caregiver guidance
- Follow-up recommendations when further medical review is needed
Developmental and Neurodevelopmental Follow-Up
Medical follow-up for children with developmental or neurological conditions, including cerebral palsy, autism, global developmental delay, genetic conditions, and neuromuscular disorders. Our doctors can review the child’s general medical status, discuss relevant concerns with caregivers, and coordinate care with the appropriate rehabilitation team.
Post-Illness and Post-Hospital Discharge Follow-Up
Home-based medical review for suitable children recovering from an uncomplicated illness or recent hospital discharge, provided they are clinically stable. This may include:
- Reviewing recovery and current symptoms
- Medication reconciliation
- Assessing feeding, hydration, and general clinical status
- Reviewing available investigation results
- Identifying concerns that require further medical assessment
Medication Review and Care Planning
Our doctors can review current medications, assess the child’s response to the established care plan, and provide recommendations within their professional scope. Where appropriate, the doctor may recommend further investigations, specialist review, or changes to the management plan.
Coordinated Care with Hope AMC
For children who need additional support, our home visit service can help coordinate care with relevant Hope AMC professionals, including occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, and other appropriate team members. This helps families navigate medical and rehabilitation needs through a coordinated approach.

Is a Home Doctor Visit Suitable for Your Child?
Home visits are intended for eligible, clinically stable children whose needs can be safely addressed in the home setting. Some conditions require physical facilities, investigations, or urgent treatment that cannot be provided during a routine home visit.
Important safety information
Home visits are not an emergency service. Children with breathing difficulties, blue lips, altered consciousness, prolonged or concerning seizures, suspected severe infection, significant dehydration, severe abdominal pain, or other emergency warning signs require urgent hospital assessment or emergency medical services.
